Making his third appearance at Squonkapalooza, Ron Murphy is excited and honored to be part of this very fun, yet important event. 

Ron has been investigating the stuff of nightmares for over 30 years. He has investigated the things that go bump in the night and meticulously researched the historical and psychological context of myths and legends from around the world. Mr. Murphy seeks to uncover the archetypal precedent for the monsters that haunt our collective thoughts.

Mr. Murphy has been featured in the Travel Channel series True Terror with Robert Englund and has appeared in three seasons of Red Earch Uncovered in Canada. He has appeared on numerous podcasts and radio shows including Coast to Coast.

A sought after speaker, Mr. Murphy will discuss the deeper meaning of the Squonk as it relates to an environmental context. 

Whitney Yadon is a self-taught painter and needle filter. Although she resides in Louisville, KY, she has never been to the Derby and doesn't drink bourbon! Instead, Whitney enjoys creating a whimsical world for your favorite cryptids. She has adapted a 'Bob Ross' style for all the happy little creatures. 

Creep It Real is Ohio's most fearsome musical duo. It blends catchy tunes and cheeky lyrics about everyone's favorite mythical creatures and urban legends, such as Squonk, Sasquatch, Mothman, Chupacabra, Jackalope, Toxic Sewer Gators, and the whole cryptozoological crew. Douglas Comin is a singer-songwriter who lives in Latrobe, PA. He is making his second appearance at Squonkapalooza. Doug began playing guitar and writing songs about six years ago as part of his mid-life crisis. He was told that he had a knack for storytelling, so he kept writing and now has over 40 original songs in his catalogue. Some

A fascination with cryptid stories has led him to write tunes about such beloved creatures as the Snallygaster, Dwayyo, and Squonk. Be sure to tell him your favorite beasties if you get a chance. You might just inspire a song!

She is currently working on a book about North American Werewolves and is excited to be bringing her new research to the fine folks of Squonkapalooza. This year she will be giving a talk on North American Werewolves, a talk on Mystery Birds of the United States, as well as offering divinatory card readings for all interested.
